An early Christmas present

October 3, 2013

In my prior post, I said goodbye to my faithful Canon SD800IS point and shoot. That is because I am the owner of a new Sony RX-100!  I was expecting to get a new p&s around Black Friday time, but I was in the local big box retail store and they happened to have a deal on an open-box RX-100 that I didn’t want to pass on.  I haven’t had much chance to get out with it – I’ve really only taken some test shots around the house.  There is a lot to get used to with it – it is a very feature rich p&s.  I love that it has manual controls and shoots in RAW. The fast (1.8) lens is another great feature.

This is one of the test shots from the house – mums in full bloom with the onset of autumn.
